my mom made these.

i've recently discovered photographs of her work

basically, she took tissue papers and ripped or folded them by hand and pasted them onto paper with a brush. takes a lot of patience because tissue paper sticks all over the place. haha

i only vaguely remember her doing this kind of art (we had these rad mats of vegetables she made for the dinner table)

it's a big deal for me because i think she was the only one in my family that had genuine interest in art. i hear i take after her a lot (tho' she obviously pwns me in the art aspect)

i'm really fond of her art and i'm so glad that i found these that i thought i would share with you all.

lastly- man, i had such a hard time finding a category for this
